Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Preparation
- Determine the size of food portions and costs to ensure optimal profitability
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Kitchen Operations Management
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to maintain high standards of food safety and quality
- Inventory Management and Supply Chain
- Order supplies and equipment to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment to inform menu planning and inventory management decisions
- Team Leadership and Development
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure effective teamwork and communication
- Provide coaching and guidance to staff to develop their skills and knowledge in food preparation and presentation
- Education and Experience
- No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant experience in a similar role is essential
