Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Child and Youth Worker at Amal Youth and Family Centre. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and youth, providing education and support to help them reach their full potential.

Education

We are looking for an individual with a college diploma or certificate in a related field, such as education or social work. Your education should have equipped you with the skills and knowledge to work effectively with children and youth, and to provide support and guidance in a variety of settings.

Experience

As a Child and Youth Worker, you will have at least 1 year of experience working with children and youth, either in a school or community setting. Your experience should have given you the skills and confidence to work independently, and to provide support and guidance to children and youth in a variety of situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide education and support to children and youth in a variety of settings
  • Work with children and youth to identify and achieve their goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement programs and activities to support the education and well-being of children and youth
  • Collaborate with other professionals to provide comprehensive support to children and youth
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of children and youth's progress and development
Requirements
  • College diploma or certificate in a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children and youth
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
