About the Role:

Magna Search Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team as a Data Center Manager/Associate Director Quantity Surveyor. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading company in the data center industry, managing large-scale projects and overseeing cost management plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily guidance on project execution, ensuring subcontractors are aligned and projects are progressing smoothly.
  • Manage the success of 3 data center projects in the Quebec region, overseeing all cost management plans and initiatives.
  • Balance responsibilities between quantity surveying and cash management, including follow-up assessments, project progress tracking, cost management, and project management.
  • Work face-to-face with clients daily, ensuring trades follow the plan and design of the facility/data center.
  • Handle scopes of work, reporting to clients, cost reports, project budgets, progress payments, change orders, monthly payment applications, payouts for subcontractors, and post-contract systems setup.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience managing large multimillion-dollar projects, preferably at a Tier 1/2 consulting or management company in the AEC/Design-Build or MEP space.
  • Experience in cost control and management of large-scale complex projects, preferably in Data Centers or similar industries.
  • Pre- and post-contract cost management experience.
  • Quantity Surveying background is ideal, with certifications such as RICS, PQS, or CIQS.
  • Strong budgeting experience is required.
  • Experience managing crews of 2-3 people on a job site and in the office.
