About the Role

The Healthcare Support Worker will work closely with the healthcare team to provide basic supportive care to residents, including assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as toileting, feeding, and transferring
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Support residents in achieving their goals and promoting independence
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Health Care Aide training program
  • Experience in Long Term Care or Chronic Care
  • Ability to communicate in both official languages (English and French)
  • General skills and ability to perform all tasks and responsibilities relevant to the duties of the position
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship skills with residents, families, and coworkers

Working Conditions

This role requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, and weekends. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional care to residents.
