**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our Planning & Development team at the City of Medicine Hat. As a Municipal Engineer II, you will be responsible for managing civil engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

**Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate multiple civil engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, stormwater systems, and land development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, municipal standards, and environmental and safety practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal staff, external agencies, and the public.

**Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Professional Membership (or eligibility) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering project management, preferably in a municipal setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop creative solutions.
