Farmers Edge is seeking a skilled Agronomic Advisor to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative agronomic solutions. As an Agronomic Advisor, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts, introducing prospective clients to our cutting-edge technology, and providing expert agronomic recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned customer accounts and develop tailored agronomic solutions
  • Utilize remote sensing technology, satellite imagery, and proprietary software to interpret data and create precise quality zone maps
  • Formulate and approve effective fertilizer, fungicide, and seeding recommendations using advanced tools like ZonePro, Sample Pro, RxPro, and ScoutPro
  • Communicate with growers to understand yield variability maps and identify potential stressors in their fields
  • Focus on customer satisfaction, training, and retention to ensure the success of our clients and foster long-lasting relationships
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Agriculture or a relevant field
  • A valid Agronomy certification, such as CCA or 4R
  • Strong understanding of agronomy and/or precision agronomy, including cropping systems, fertilizer types, seed and drainage regulations, and location farm equipment
  • Previous experience with data collection for R&D purposes, growth staging, recognizing disease, weeds, growth, and other environmental pressures
  • Understanding of basic meteorological data and its relation to crop production
  • Experience with high-tech hardware and software, and the ability to build relationships and provide outstanding customer experience
