Faculty Position at Tyndale University

We invite applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position at the seminary. The selected candidate will be part of a department offering a range of clinical counselling courses recognized by the CRPO that integrate rigorous theoretical understanding with applied psychotherapy methods and skills.

About the Role

The incumbent will teach foundational courses in Counselling Theories and Methods, Gender and Socioeconomic Perspectives, Cross-Cultural Perspectives, Professional Ethics, as well as courses in one's area of specialization. Key responsibilities include teaching a full load of courses, participating in department and general seminary faculty meetings, engaging in advising students and supervising research projects, and pursuing research and scholarship.

Requirements
  • A doctoral degree (or in progress) in counselling or a related field
  • Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO (or equivalent)
  • Degree or some courses in Bible, Theology; competencies in Integration of Psychology and Theology (preferred)

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, demonstrate competency in teaching, communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and integrate clinical practice with theology and faith.
