We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Activity Aide Part-time to join our team at Southbridge Care Homes. As an Activity Aide, you will play a vital role in bringing joy and fun to our residents, while ensuring their safety, health, and happiness.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group activities in collaboration with the Manager.
- Prepare for activities and assist residents to the activity areas.
- Assist residents during activities and report any significant changes to the Manager and nursing staff as appropriate.
- Maintain program records according to department policy.
- Work with other departments to meet resident needs.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, or a related field.
- Passion for helping others and ability to bring fun and joy to tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of and/or experience in working with the senior population.
- Availability to work weekends.
