Compensation Package

The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000-$180,000, depending on experience, with a competitive bonus structure and comprehensive benefits package.

Job Description

This Business Development Director – C&I position plays a critical role in identifying, developing, and executing business relationships with large commercial, industrial, and institutional customers in North American deregulated energy markets. As a sales professional with the drive, ambition, and know-how to grow a business, you will be responsible for:

  • Funding non-target business growth with new and existing clients by identifying target accounts, developing them as prospects, and closing them as customers.
  • Developing a personal sales strategy and managing a pipeline to meet corporate business goals, receiving support from marketing, customer success, and revenue operations teams.
  • Leading proposal development with solution engineers, finance, energy markets, technology, and other professionals to deliver valuable business solutions for clients.
Key Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A college/university degree.
  • 3–10 years' experience in a hunter sales role, preferably in demand response, distributed energy resource development, grid-edge technologies, energy management solutions, or related fields.
  • Strong communication, lead generation, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills, with proficiency in MS 365 Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.) and Salesforce.
  • A self-motivated, coachable, and curious mindset, comfortable promoting new energy services to customers and willing to travel within North America as required.
