Cost Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a Senior Cost Optimization Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining cost models, generating product cost estimates, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.

About the Role
  • You will be responsible for supporting cost analysis on all fuel cell application product developments, performing research to gather and synthesize data, and generating product cost volume curves based on identifiable cost reduction steps.
  • You will work closely with suppliers to provide cost data needed to develop and verify cost models, and collaborate with cross-functional project teams to achieve business objectives.
  • As a key member of our team, you will assist Marketing and Business Development with proposal and quotation generation, and support Cost Accounting in the establishment of standard costs and gross profit calculations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Industrial) with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in cost engineering.
  • Commodity cost estimation background in the automotive industry is preferred, and knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes is essential.
  • You should have strong MS Office skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of CAD $93,000 - CAD $117,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental benefits, paid time off, and retirement plan matching.

In addition to our total rewards offering, permanent employees may be eligible for our performance-driven bonus program, subject to eligibility requirements.
