Executive Director - Ukrainian World Congress

The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) is seeking a visionary leader to spearhead its global operations, fostering a strong and cohesive Ukrainian community worldwide. As Executive Director, you will be responsible for leading a global team, managing a global staff, and developing international government relations and community development work plans in collaboration with the Board and Executive Committee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the UWC's strategic priorities, ensuring the organization's mission and vision are achieved.
  • Represent and advocate the UWC's position to all stakeholders, including governments, civil society, and donors, to advance the organization's goals.
  • Ensure the UWC's operations are fully funded, properly staffed, and budget is managed responsibly.
  • Lead a global team of professionals, including UWC head office in Toronto and Missions in Kyiv, New York & Brussels, and support the work of UWC Foundations in Canada, US & Ukraine.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated skills in managing staff, boards, committees, and volunteers, with a solid understanding of Ukrainian communities worldwide, geopolitics, international organizations, and the current situation in Ukraine.
  • Strong operational, financial, and board management capabilities, with experience in policy development, community development, fundraising, and communication to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Ukrainian and English, including public speaking, with experience in not-for-profit governance and risk management.
  • Post-secondary education and a willingness to travel internationally, including Ukraine.

Remuneration: Competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
