Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to emergency patients, both independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Enhance quality of life for patients and families; consult, confer, and collaborate with other healthcare providers
- Demonstrate continuous improvement and evidence-based practice in nursing
- Maintain and advance own clinical competence
- Participate on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned
Our Emergency Department has a 16-bed ED, including a Trauma room. We care for patients with CTAS scores from 1-5, ranging from walking wounded to trauma, pediatrics, and psychiatric cases. We work in conjunction with the High Acuity Response Team and outlying facilities, with frequent transfers via helicopter.
