Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Infrastructure Planning Group in Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of innovative and practical design solutions for clients across Canada.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform urban water, sanitary, and drainage system modeling, including data management, model setup, calibration, and system assessment.
  • Lead the development of infrastructure servicing plans for subdivisions, neighborhoods, and city-wide areas.
  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling and lead the development of Integrated Stormwater Management Plans and Flood Management Plans.
  • Develop rainwater source control LID concepts and assist in LID designs.
  • Provide technical analysis in support of Civil engineering design associated with municipal water, sanitary sewer, drainage conveyance works, and hydraulic structures.
  • Prepare construction cost estimates, implementation plans, and operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Write and review technical memorandums and reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with minimum 6-10 years of related experience.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario (PEO) an asset.
  • Experienced in hydrological and hydraulic analysis and modeling using various techniques and modeling software.
  • Experienced in infrastructure master planning and flood management planning.
  • Experience in stormwater/groundwater balance.
  • Experience in the design of stormwater control structures.
  • Experience in hydrotechnical assessment, including climate change factoring related to flood and drought.
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD, Civil3D, ArcGIS or QGIS, PCSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, HEC-RAS, and other computer programs used for preparing reports, presentations, and designs.
  • Experienced in project management.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
  • Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
