We are seeking a skilled Painter and Maintenance Specialist to join the AMPOWER ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, as well as repairing cracks and holes.
As a Painter and Maintenance Specialist, you will be working in various locations, applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces. You will also be responsible for mixing paint to the desired colour and texture.
Our ideal candidate will have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field. They will also have excellent attention to detail, be physically demanding and able to distinguish between colours.
The successful candidate will be required to travel and will be provided with cultural competency training and/or awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers. They will also be provided with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
- Repair cracks and holes
- Mix paint to desired colour and texture
- Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
