Senior Consultant SR&ED

BDO Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our SR&ED and Government Incentives team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting client engagements, examining client operations and processes, and developing funding methodologies to maximize tax incentives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support SR&ED client engagements, focusing on the manufacturing, natural resources, and clean technology/environmental industries.
- Engage and maintain relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and becoming a trusted and influential advisor.
- Examine client operations and processes, determining eligibility for various grants, tax credits, and funding programs.
- Develop and implement funding methodologies to maximize tax incentives available to clients.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding progress updates and issues.
- Provide clients with professional and timely advice related to documentation and compliance with SR&ED program requirements.
- Gather internal and external client resources utilization and assist with costing activities.
- Assist and guide clients during technical reviews with the CRA.

- Understand clients' industry, challenges, and opportunities, and be described as positive, professional, and delivering high-quality work.
- Identify, recommend, and focus on effective service delivery to clients.

- Grow expertise through learning and professional development.
- University degree and/or strong technical expertise in a specific field of science and engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc., or PhD).
- Recognized subject matter expert with 2+ years of SR&ED experience.
- Excellent technical writing skills and strong editorial capabilities.
- Value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
- Display strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
