Job Summary

The Continuing Care Assistant will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving
  • Participate in recreational activities and outings with residents
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: Experience an asset
  • Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Continuing Care Assistant Certification, First Aid Certificate
  • Security and safety: Criminal record check, Vulnerable sector check
  • Transportation/travel information: Own transportation
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Personal suitability: Client focus, Dependability, Efficient interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Reliability, Team player
