We are seeking an experienced Procurement and Supply Chain Strategist to join our team at GPSI. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement and supply chain of various raw materials and components, ensuring the availability of necessary materials for production.

About the Role

The Procurement and Supply Chain Strategist will be responsible for developing and implementing commodity strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement of materials. This includes monitoring and analyzing market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities, and developing plans to mitigate risks and take advantage of opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Commodity Strategies: Develop and implement commodity strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement of materials.
  • Market Trend Analysis: Monitor and analyze market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities, and develop plans to mitigate risks and take advantage of opportunities.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and prices, and managing supplier performance to ensure the highest quality products are delivered on time.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations, including working closely with manufacturing, quality control, and logistics teams.
  • Inventory Management: Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of all raw materials and components, ensuring proper levels are maintained to meet production demands.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Aerospace Manufacturing Knowledge: Aerospace manufacturing knowledge is an asset.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze market trends, evaluate supplier capabilities, and identify risks and opportunities.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
