Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Asphalt Screed Operator to join our team at Linxus Group. As a key member of our paving division, you will be responsible for operating the screed of the paver to achieve depth and grade of roadways, pathways, and parking lots.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the Screed: Ensure the screed is properly calibrated and adjusted to achieve the desired depth and grade of the asphalt surface.
  • Communicate with the Paving Team: Collaborate with the asphalt paving operator to ensure a smooth and efficient paving process.
  • Perform Daily Maintenance: Conduct daily inspections of the paver to identify and address any potential mechanical issues.
  • Ensure Safety Protocols: Report any unsafe work conditions or incidents to the supervisor and participate in the investigative process.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience operating a screed in the paving industry.
  • Certifications: Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) Certification.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in extreme heat and physically demanding environments.
Work Environment
  • Work Schedule: Must be available to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, during the work season.
  • Travel Requirements: Must be willing to work out of town with minimal notice.
