We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team at SMART Technologies. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor documents, including invoices, credit memos, and disbursement requisitions.
Key Responsibilities- Process vendor documents, including invoices, credit memos, and disbursement requisitions, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Match invoices to purchase orders, adhering to variance tolerances and ensuring compliance with applicable tax requirements.
- Validate coding in accordance with the Chart of Accounts and ensure accurate authorization of expenditures.
- Monitor and distribute incoming inquiries to email accounts and maintain tracking and follow-up processes for invoices received and not approved.
- Work closely with the Procurement Team to resolve PO issues and ensure suppliers are paid within terms.
- Reconcile and resolve problem invoices, vendor statements, and follow up on open item accounts and audit confirmations as required.
- Prepare weekly wire payment runs, including wire template setup within online banking systems, and liaise with Treasury and Procurement Departments.
- Process corporate credit card programs within Concur Expense System, including card applications, monitoring/reconciling submissions, and preparing monthly payments to card providers.
- Train and support new employees in areas of AP processes and data entry.
- Reconcile, prepare, and process month-end journal entries and accruals in line with deadlines, assist with month-end closing, and collate/provide documentation for audits.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in an office environment, preferably in a high-volume, ERP financial system accounts payable environment.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills, proven ability to meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience desirable.
This is a high-volume, office-based role in a fast-paced and evolving work environment. The successful candidate will be required to work outside of normal business hours during key times and will be subject to a background check.
