We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner. As a key member of our inpatient psychiatry unit, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert psychiatric nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and well-being
- Conduct thorough assessments and identify potential issues and strengths through nursing diagnosis, planning interventions, performing planned interventions, and evaluating outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
- Experience working in mental health and substance use settings, preferably in an inpatient setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
