Responsibilities:

* Manage the consolidation and summarized financial results process for companies within the corporate segment on a quarterly and annual basis for internal management reporting and regulatory requirements
* Lead the execution of complex technical accounting steps and issues, including the coordination with other business units and departments
* Lead the monthly financial close cycles and identify opportunities to implement practical changes to drive improvements and efficiencies
* Review daily journal entries and period end accruals
* Manage the Finance team's responsibilities in shared service functions across treasury and accounts payable
* Collaborate regularly with and respond to the business and finance inquiries from other Brookfield business groups and departments
* Review the work of junior team members and provide mentorship to them
* Continuously look for efficiency in our processes, tools and reports and make suggestions to implement these into our framework
* Lead special projects as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

* Four to six (4-6) years of progressive work experience in an accounting or auditing function
* Experience with public company reporting requirements under IFRS
* Strong financial systems experience, including advanced Excel skills
* Leadership and interpersonal skills, and the willingness to always support the team
* Highly organized and able to work in a dynamic, complex and fast-paced environment, as well as adapt quickly to manage changing priorities and deadlines
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Self-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development
* Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, HFM and/or Workiva would be an asset
