Drive Business Growth as a Claims Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Claims Manager to lead our Accident & Health claims team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of claims analysts in handling accident and health claims, including AD&D, accident and sickness claims, critical illness, hospital cash claims, out of country medical and business-related travel claims, as well as Accident Benefits claims (SABS & Loss transfer).
  • Provide technical assistance, coaching, and support to team members to ensure high-quality claims handling and excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement claims processes and protocols to meet the needs of our brokers and customers, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and actuarial departments to drive business alignment and provide claim trends, large loss reports, and support client acquisition and retention.
  • Perform performance management of team members, including weekly 1x1s, monthly team meetings, and mid-year reviews, to ensure growth and development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Accident & Health claims or related experience (Accident Benefits, workers comp, including large loss management).
  • Prior leadership experience, including performance management, mentoring, and onboarding.
  • Strong decision-making skills, customer service orientation, and people skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and executive presence.
  • Superior analytical skills, with ability to assess reporting metrics, prepare management reporting, and other requests.
