About the Role: MacEwan University is seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the role of Community Nest Leader. As a member of our Student Life Department, you will contribute to creating a sense of community and easing the social transition into university life for our first-year students. You will lead an assigned group of ~50 students, organizing various social engagement activities that promote inclusivity, community, social well-being, and integration to campus life.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Hold weekly one-hour drop-in meetings to engage students and offer social interaction
  • Attend collaborative Nest Leader meetings
  • Provide timely updates to the Coordinator, Peer Mentorship
  • Organize weekly Community Nest engagement opportunities
  • Support the organization and execution of monthly events
