Job Summary:

We are looking for a professional with hands-on experience in data lineage and data catalog as well as metadata management using industry-standard tools.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, be proficient in SQL, and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and manage data lineage and data catalog solutions to ensure data traceability and accessibility.
  2. Oversee metadata management processes ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of data assets.
  3. Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain data quality and compliance.
  4. Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate data governance practices into data ingestion and processing workflows.
  5. Conduct regular audits of data systems to ensure adherence to governance standards.
  6. Provide training and support to team members on data governance tools and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data lineage and data catalog management using tools such as Apache Atlas, Collibra, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of metadata management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Solid background in data governance including policy development and implementation.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Python is a plus.
