Financial Planning and Analysis Expert

This role involves overseeing effective financial management for an assigned portfolio by working collaboratively with senior leadership. The position requires developing and maintaining a strategic business partner relationship with stakeholders based on in-depth knowledge of each unit/department including their financial goals, needs, budgets, and future planning.

The position provides expert advice and guidance regarding financial concepts, processes, and policies as well as interpretation and compliance with Ministry/Ontario Health funding agreements. Additionally, it provides training and updates on various financial matters and supports management in financial accountability and performance so that the hospital can achieve its strategic vision and mission.

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or any other related field is required.
  • Five or more years of experience in progressively more responsible positions in Finance, with in-depth knowledge of Financial Planning and Analysis and healthcare funding concepts is necessary.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of complex financial analysis and accounting principles, processes, and guidelines is required.
