Job Title: Memory Care Attendant

At Seasons Retirement Communities, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Attendant to join our team. As a Memory Care Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents with dementia and cognitive impairment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide person-centered care services to residents, including medication administration, ensuring professionalism, dignity, and compassion with each interaction.
  • Assist with activity programs, housekeeping tasks, and laundry as assigned.
  • Respond to resident medical, physical, and emotional needs with collaboration from the Memory Care Manager and Health and Wellness Manager.
  • Perform set-up, serving, and tear-down services for daily meal services, and assist residents with walking to and from the dining room and eating.
  • Promote and support a person-centered approach to care and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with residents and co-workers.
Qualifications:
  • Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Current Safe Food Handler's certification.
  • Enrolled in the Alberta Health Care Aide (HCA) Directory (applicable to Alberta applicants only).
  • Empathy and compassion for the needs of the elderly with a specific focus on individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia.
  • Ability to communicate effectively following written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong ability to organize and prioritize workload throughout scheduled shift.
