Agricultural Labourer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Labourer to join our team at Alternative Med Canada Inc. in a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply fertilizers and other agricultural products to crops as instructed.
  • Use various tools and equipment to maintain and manage growth of vines, vine canopy, and grapes.
  • Monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns to ensure optimal conditions for animal health.
  • Harvest crops, including fruits and vegetables, and pack them for market.
  • Perform weeding, seeding, and other tasks to maintain crop health and productivity.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of farm equipment and tools.
  • Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers, refugees, and Indigenous people.
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
Requirements:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in agricultural labouring.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labour and work in a variety of weather conditions.
