Senior Game Programmer Opportunity at Offworld Industries

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Game Programmer to join our team at Offworld Industries, the independent studio behind the successful military first-person shooter game, "Squad". As a key contributor to our current and upcoming Unreal Engine based multiplayer games, you will be responsible for making console-specific changes to an existing PC game, analyzing and improving game performance on consoles, and coordinating with the testing team to work on fixes for bugs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Make changes to game systems to make them compatible with consoles
  • Analyze and improve game performance on consoles
  • Coordinate with the testing team to work on fixes for bugs
  • Collaborate with the devops team regarding building and CI processes for consoles
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years full time experience working as a game programmer with at least 2 years working on console games
  • Experience working on at least one game using Unreal Engine
  • Excellent understanding of C++
  • Experience using modern software engineering practices such as peer reviews, scrum, CI/CD and testing
