About the Role

Fitch Ratings is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Analyst to join our team as an Associate Director in the Utilities and Midstream sector. As a key member of our North American Corporates Group, you will be responsible for providing in-depth analysis and insights to support our credit rating decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality of companies in the Utilities and Midstream sectors;
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support credit rating decisions;
  • Conduct meetings with industry management teams to gather information and insights;
  • Present analysis and recommendations to internal credit rating committees;
  • Communicate rating rationale to external audiences through research reports, press releases, and conference calls;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to provide timely and effective research on topical issues;
  • Participate in the evaluation of other credits within Corporates and related credit groups;
  • Represent Fitch in industry conferences and panel discussions;
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of the Utilities and Midstream sector team.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in credit analysis or a related field, with some knowledge of the Utilities and Midstream sectors a plus;
  • Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience a plus;
  • Expertise in Excel and Word;
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment;
  • Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change;
  • Desire to deepen exposure to and understanding of the debt capital markets;
  • Strong pattern of leadership and ability to interact successfully with various stakeholders.
