Job Title: Senior Ecologist

Job Summary:

WEST Inc is seeking a highly experienced Senior Ecologist to join our team in Saskatchewan. As a Senior Ecologist, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing our Saskatchewan projects, as well as other Canadian projects. You will work closely with our team to develop budgets, write proposals, and coordinate field activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Marketing and business development activities
• Project management, including budgeting and proposal writing
• Coordinating and assisting with field activities
• Direct environmental technical aspects of planning projects
• Coordinating with local, provincial, and federal agencies, First Nations, and the public
• Performing fieldwork and providing training and support to field technicians
• Assessing ecological effects and interpreting results of studies
• Writing reports and providing quality assurance of data

Requirements:

• Legally allowed to work in Canada
• Completed bachelor's degree or higher in biological sciences, environmental sciences, or a related discipline
• At least 10 years of relevant experience
• Experience with renewable projects, including wind, solar, or battery storage
• Valid driver's license with no restrictions
• Competent in Microsoft Office and ArcGIS/QGIS
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work well under time constraints and meet deliverable targets and deadlines
