Job Title: Mechanic Helper

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Mechanic Helper to join our team at S & A Industrial Maintenance L. As a Mechanic Helper, you will assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers in performing various tasks related to maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities:
  • Move tools, equipment, and other materials as needed.
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers with tasks such as cleaning machines and immediate work areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or team leaders.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work site environment: Confined spaces, noisy, dusty, odours.
  • Work setting: Urban area.
  • Tasks: Move tools, equipment, and other materials; help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed; clean machines and immediate work areas.
  • Area of work experience: Maintenance, repair.
  • Area of specialization: Motor vehicles.
  • Transportation/travel information: Own transportation.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding; manual dexterity; combination of sitting, standing, walking; bending, crouching, kneeling; handling heavy loads; large workload; work under pressure.
  • Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
  • Personal suitability: Dependability; flexibility; initiative; organized; reliability; team player.
  • Experience: Will train; permanent position.
  • Language of work: English.
  • Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week.
