About the Role

Gh Immigration Svcs is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. As a Support Specialist, you will work closely with clients who are deaf and blind, providing essential support and assistance in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide communication support to clients who are deaf and blind, utilizing American Sign Language (ASL) and Braille.
  • Ensure clients' safety and well-being by maintaining valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate clients' needs.
  • Establish a strong working relationship with clients, understanding their unique needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with other support staff to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Proficiency in ASL and Braille.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
