Job Title: Metal Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Accumetal Manufacturing Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy metalworking machines, including presses and forging machines, to shape and form metal stock into parts or products. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication and forming, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate presses or other forging machines to perform hot or cold forging to shape or form metal
  • Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products
  • Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications
  • Document work completed
  • Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair
  • Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions
  • Select and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in metal fabrication and forming
  • Permanent employment
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
  • English as the primary language of work
Work Environment:

The work environment is dusty and noisy. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a physically demanding environment and handle heavy loads.

Education:

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
