We are a full-service brokerage offering a one-stop shop for our clients' auto, home, business, life, and travel insurance needs. Our goal is to provide exceptional service and expertise to our clients while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Job Responsibilities
As a Life Insurance Sales Broker, you will be responsible for generating life/health insurance sales leads, managing leads and providing quotes to prospective clients in a timely manner, reviewing policies and recommended coverages based on the client's needs, implementing effective strategies to generate leads, follow-up and close the deal, delivering an exceptional customer experience from the first point of contact, prioritizing building a quality book of business to ensure client loyalty and maintain good retention ratios, complying with market underwriting guidelines as well as company policies and standards, ensuring appropriate forms and other policy requirements are completed, co-ordinating and following up on client documents and payments, identifying cross sell opportunities to assist clients with all their insurance needs, consistently achieving monthly sales targets and complying with business quality targets.
You will also be required to maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Must have: LLQP license, 2+ years' experience as a Life Insurance Sales Broker/Producer with minimum $15K FYC sold in past 2 consecutive years, Degree in any discipline from a Canadian University or Insurance Diploma/Certificate from a College, Exceptional written and oral communication skills, and superior interpersonal skills in English
- Nice-to-have: CFP, CSC or similar professional designations, Group Life/Health, Retirement Solutions, and Segregated Funds sales experience, Fluency in other languages, Reside in the Greater Ottawa Metropolitan area
About the Role
This role requires a relationship-oriented individual with strong organizational, analytical, time-management, sales, and prospecting skills. You will need to be comfortable working with technology and in a digital environment, in both a customer-facing role, as well as an internal role as our brokerage's Life Insurance expert.
