Accounting Supervisor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Supervisor to join our finance team in Montreal. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily accounting operations, guiding a small team of 2-3 professional and clerical accounting personnel performing specialized or general accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise monthly close activities, preparing or overseeing preparation of income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and various other accounting statements and reports.
  • Organize and schedule all necessary resources required to accomplish activities.
  • Analyze and reconcile financial information and general ledger accounts and other reports.
  • Provide financial support to district managers and maintenance managers.
  • Train, conduct evaluations, and manage productivity of employees.
  • Approve AP invoices and P-card transactions and customer account credits.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree & 5+ years in progressively responsible accounting roles, with at least 2 years of supervisory capacity.
  • CPA Required.
  • Bilingual in French and English (both written and spoken).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills; highly organized and politically savvy.
