About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multiplatform Journalist to join our team at Bell. As a key member of our content creation team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality content for our digital media platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and write engaging articles and news stories for our digital platforms.
- Conduct interviews with experts and individuals to gather information and insights.
- Shoot and edit video content for our digital platforms.
- Develop and propose original story ideas and pitches.
- Maintain a network of contacts and sources.
- Configure and use live equipment as needed.
- Follow editorial standards and guidelines regarding accuracy, ethics, and legal issues.
- Ensure equipment and mobile devices are in good working order.
- Perform other assigned tasks as required.
Critical Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, film, communications, or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years of experience in TV/web.
- Proven experience in news reporting and ability to perform in front of the camera.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, and knowledge of local, national, and international news and current events.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Good understanding of social networks and the audience.
- Proven filming and editing abilities.
- Proven organizational skills, and ability to work autonomously under tight deadlines.
- Good editorial judgment; demonstrated ability to produce original and enterprising news reports.
- Ability to manage new and emerging technologies.
- Knowledge of iNews an asset.
- Valid driver's license and good record.
- Bilingualism required.
