About ELS Transport

We are a leading logistics company seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various financial tasks, including calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, fixed assets and depreciation, and maintaining general ledgers and financial statements. Additionally, they will prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports, as well as tax returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow by preparing and processing payments, reconciling bank statements, and identifying areas for cost savings.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, providing recommendations for improvement to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a logistics or transportation industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Work Environment:

Our office is located in a busy commercial area, with easy access to public transportation. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.

In order to estimate your salary, we consider several factors such as your location, experience, and qualifications. Based on these factors, we would estimate your salary to be around $65,000 per year, which is slightly above the average salary for a Financial Accountant in the United States.
