We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our MRI unit, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our team's mission to deliver high-reliability care.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for various cases, including neuro, musculoskeletal, abdominal, angiographic, and breast patients.
- Prepare patients for MRI exams, conducting safety screenings, obtaining consent, confirming exam validity, and communicating with radiologists as needed.
- Review and verify MRI images, ensuring accurate documentation and presenting findings to radiologists for reporting via PACS.
- Maintain knowledge of and adhere to MRI safety protocols to protect patients, colleagues, and self.
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) as an MRI Technologist is mandatory.
- MRT plus MRI certification is required; registration with CAMRT is preferred.
- Prior recent clinical experience in MRI is necessary; working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills are required, along with good teamwork and customer service skills.
- I.V. certification is also necessary.
- A discipline-free attendance record is crucial.
