Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health are seeking a skilled Perfusion Specialist to join our team. As a Perfusion Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting patients undergoing cardiac surgery through the provision of cardiovascular perfusion services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in perfusion technology and be certified with the Canadian Society of Clinical Perfusion or eligible for certification. Experience with adult and pediatric cardiopulmonary bypass procedures is an asset, as is the ability to work under pressure and demonstrate strong teamwork skills.

About the Opportunity

The Perfusion Specialist will work closely with the Health Services Manager and the Department of Perfusion Services to provide high-quality perfusion services to patients. This will involve working in a fast-paced environment and being able to think critically and make sound decisions quickly.

Hours

The Perfusion Specialist will work a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours biweekly. This will involve working 24/7 coverage, including on-site and/or on-call shifts for IWK and QEII.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will be eligible for a competitive salary range of $41.46 - $53.95 hourly, plus a market adjustment of $384.62 biweekly. They will also be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
