Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Freight Handler to join our team at Purolator. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient sorting and separation of freight to meet client delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
  • Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
  • Loads freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
  • Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
  • Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
  • Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery
Requirements
  • Quick learner and ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Technological literacy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
  • Flexible working hours
  • CSA approved safety footwear
  • Successfully complete a criminal record check to qualify
