Job Title: Business Advisor, Multi-Language Services

Legal Aid Ontario is seeking a highly skilled Business Advisor to join our Multi-Language Services department.

The successful candidate will provide financial oversight and management support to the Director of Multi-Language Services, ensuring the effective and efficient operations of the department.

Key responsibilities include coordinating financial activities, managing interpretation and translation procurements, and providing advice and support to the Director.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Legal Aid Ontario's business and operations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently.

Additional requirements include a strong sense of client-focused service, experience developing and managing work plans, and a commitment to diversity, accessibility, equity, and inclusion.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director to achieve the department's mandate and contribute to the organization's mission to provide access to justice for all.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate financial oversight activities for the department.
  • Manage multiple interpretation and translation procurements.
  • Provide advice and support to the Director.
  • Support the development and management of departmental initiatives and plans.
  • Lead special projects and manage deliverables, timelines, and budget.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field and/or minimum 4 years combined experience and education.
  • Understanding of Legal Aid Ontario business and operations.
  • Strong sense of client-focused service.
  • Experience developing and managing work plans.
  • Impeccable organizational skills.
  • Budgeting and financial management experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently.
  • Professional, positive, and supportive team player.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Aptitude in creative problem-solving.
  • Extensive working knowledge of MS Office.
