Job Summary

This is a permanent position offering 30 hours per week. We are seeking a highly motivated Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, as well as assisting with food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities
  • Keep the kitchen and surrounding areas clean and organized, adhering to high standards of sanitation and hygiene.
  • Assist cooks and chefs with food preparation, including tasks such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Restock refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas with supplies and ingredients as needed.
  • Loading buspans and trays with dishes and utensils.
  • Sanitizing and washing dishes and other items by hand or using dishwashers.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Handling and storing cleaning products safely.
  • Receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Removing kitchen garbage and trash regularly.
  • Sharpening kitchen knives as needed.
  • Sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.
  • No prior experience necessary; on-the-job training provided.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and take direction.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 25 pounds.
