As a Caregiver in our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team at Mountain View Lodge, you will play a vital part in providing care and support to individuals in a long-term care setting. Working under the direction of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents are met while promoting maximum independence.
We are seeking candidates with excellent interpersonal skills, compassion, and patience to join our team. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living
• Assisting with mobility, transfers, and related equipment
• Performing nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration
• Maintaining a safe and healthy environment through housekeeping activities
• Observing and reporting changes in resident behavior and condition
• Accompanying clients on outings and during social activities
• Performing clerical duties and delegated tasks
This is a casual opportunity, which means no guaranteed hours, and work requirements may vary from zero to 37.5 hours per week. We are particularly looking for candidates with good availability for short call work and open to working night shifts as well as days and evenings.
We offer competitive pay, with an estimated hourly wage of $29.83, effective April 1, 2024.
The location offers temperate weather and a small-town feel, making it an ideal place to live and work. Our lodge is attached to Lillooet District Hospital and is located on the main level. A pet-friendly and warm environment greets new residents, who enjoy access to amenities like a spa room, cozy dining room, and secure patio/outdoor space. Recreation therapy and rehab assistant services are also available. We encourage family and volunteer participation in all aspects of life at Mountain View Lodge, making it a true home away from home for our residents.
At Interior Health Authority, we value our employees' work-life balance and strive to create an inclusive, supportive work environment.
