Truck Driver

YK Freightways Inc is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes.
Key Responsibilities:- Transportation: Drive a tractor trailer truck to transport goods from one location to another, ensuring timely delivery and safety of cargo.
- Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment and GPS to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing and handling of cargo.
- Documentation: Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes, and maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, and fuel consumption.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance, including preventive maintenance.
- Licenses and Certifications: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles).
- Personal Qualities: Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, hardworking, and patience.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience.

- Work Schedule: 35 to 40 hours per week.
