About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Tatem And Wolf. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our properties, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities: Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any maintenance or cleaning issues, ensuring our properties meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and cleaning operations, ensuring cost-effective solutions that meet our business needs.
  • Coordinate Work Activities: Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of work activities, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for cleaning staff, ensuring adequate coverage and minimizing downtime.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in a related field, with a proven track record of success in facilities management or cleaning operations.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff. Proficient in computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
