P G Tax Consultancy is seeking a skilled Financial Bookkeeper and Accountant to join our team. As a Financial Bookkeeper and Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Job DescriptionThe Financial Bookkeeper and Accountant will perform the following tasks:
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Responsibilities:
- Calculate and Prepare Cheques for Payroll: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely payment of employees.
- Calculate Fixed Assets and Depreciation: Calculate fixed assets and depreciation, ensuring accurate recording of asset values.
- Keep Financial Records and Establish, Maintain and Balance Various Accounts Using Manual and Computerized Bookkeeping Systems: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Maintain General Ledgers and Financial Statements: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Post Journal Entries: Post journal entries, ensuring accurate recording of transactions.
- Prepare Other Statistical, Financial and Accounting Reports: Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports, as required.
- Prepare Tax Returns: Prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare Trial Balance of Books: Prepare trial balance of books, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Reconcile Accounts: Reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Related Field: A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.
- Professional Certification: Professional certification, such as CPA or CA, is an asset.
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to analyze financial data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are required to effectively communicate with management, staff, and external stakeholders.
