Job Title: Hairdressing Instructor

L'Académie de coiffure Hilda INC is seeking a skilled Hairdressing Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the art of hairdressing.

Job Description:Responsibilities:
  • Supervise students in work sessions and provide guidance on practical shop work.
  • Train students in various hairdressing techniques and methods.
  • Prepare teaching materials and outlines for courses, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
  • Evaluate students' progress through tests and papers, providing constructive feedback.
  • Advise students on program curricula and career decisions, helping them achieve their goals.
  • Participate in faculty committees to discuss matters such as budgets, curriculum revision, and staffing.
  • Conduct course and program evaluations to ensure high-quality education.
  • Provide consultative services to government, business, and other organizations, promoting the value of our programs.
  • Deliver engaging lectures and presentations, demonstrating expertise in hairdressing.
  • Supervise laboratory experiments and teach workshops to trades students, fostering hands-on learning.
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in teaching or education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
