About the Role

This exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of a portfolio of commercial properties. Based in Ottawa, you will work closely with our Director, Property Management to maximize the value of our commercial real estate portfolio.

About You
  • You have a minimum of 7-10 years' experience in commercial real estate, with hands-on property management and multiple property responsibilities.
  • You hold a College diploma or university degree and possess industry-related designation(s), including SMT, SMA, RPA.
  • You have a valid Class G driver's license and excellent communication skills.
  • You are self-motivated and able to allocate your time effectively, multi-task and prioritize competing demands within required deadlines.
Responsibilities
  1. Represent the owners' interests in all matters related to the management of the properties.
  2. Prepare and submit monthly reports and annual operating budgets for each property, with the assistance of various departments and team members.
  3. Review, monitor and control all operating costs associated with the management of the property.
  4. Liaise with owners regarding property-related issues.
  5. Provide assistance in preparing and tendering all operational contracts.
  6. Liaise with building operators in managing the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the property.
  7. Liaise with tenants on all operational matters related to their tenancy.
  8. Collaborate with property owners, tenants, and other stakeholders to communicate and promote ESG initiatives.
  9. Execute a sustainability strategy for managed properties, focusing on energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, and other environmentally responsible initiatives.
