Compliance Auditor - Governance and Controls

As a Compliance Auditor, you will play a vital role in ensuring our governance framework remains robust and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Governance Frameworks: Design, implement, and oversee governance frameworks for Commercial function's demand forecasting, pricing, product development, route to market, financial planning, and commodity procurement activities.
  2. Manage Operational Controls: Create, implement, and review operational controls to manage process, financial, compliance, and regulatory risk, working with process owners and wider business stakeholders.
  3. Drive Compliance and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks by implementing robust financial controls, including those related to costing, pricing, demand forecasting, and hedging.
  4. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the Conduct and Governance and Marketing teams to ensure all Commercial policies, internal and external communications, terms and conditions, and digital content comply with regulations and are communicated effectively.
  5. Manage Team Governance: Ensure the annual plan is clearly defined, regularly reviewed, and that progress against milestones is closely monitored.

Requirements:

  • Strong Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance obligations related to commercial activities, alongside expertise in risk mitigation, the energy industry, and financial control implementation.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Influence and collaborate with senior management teams, delivering clear and complex documentation.
  • Leadership and Management: Drive new ways of working, managing through others to achieve goals across multiple business units.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI, and Power Automate is essential for this role.
