US Tax Director

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled US Tax Director to join our Global Tax Advisory team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and guidance on US federal, international, and state tax matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to business units, including mergers and acquisitions, dividend planning, and worldwide financing transactions.
- Monitor and analyze tax legislation and its impact on the organization, and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the AVP of US Tax Planning and the VP of Global Tax Advisory, to develop and implement tax strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external tax advisors and other stakeholders to ensure effective tax planning and compliance.
- Prepare and review tax due diligence reports, comment letters, and other tax-related documents.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and provide training and guidance to colleagues as needed.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in US tax planning and advisory, preferably with a multinational organization, public accounting firm, or law firm.
- CPA or other professional tax designation.
- Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
- Financial services experience preferred.
